Part of what i love about this one, is that its a mission to rescue the monster... except it isnt really a monster, its a victim. Very clever how that's hidden until the very end... and I loved seeing the Teller in what was obviously David's red spacesuit

12's fashion style is very much Peter Capaldi's. He's ever so fashionable. I like how he did some inexpensive outfits in later episodes to make it easier for people to afford to cosplay his Doctor, while he has rather expensive tastes normally.

I didn't enjoy Clara with 11 but I really enjoyed her with 12. Of course Capaldi is just great in the role so that may be why. Side note, the guy who played Psi, Jonathon Bailey, also stars in Bridgerton. Season 2 coming up is his starring vehicle.

I’ve always loved the “I am SO guilty!” Scene. Both psi and sabra were such great and developed characters for the short amount of time they were on screen.

The "I was going for minimalism but ended up with magician" line is probably inspired by an interview Capaldi had with Craig Ferguson, waaaay before he was even named as the Doctor. He had a more conventional suit jacket but the lining was very similar to 12's. There's no spoilers in it, no Dr Who references at all, I think, actually. https://youtu.be/atijWqBG7Vw

I think perhaps you're seeing Clara in a new light now that you're watching again because you've taken your "not Amy" goggles off. I've always thought Moffat made a mistake changing companions halfway through a season. It made for an abrupt end for a companion and made it difficult for the fans that liked her to accept this new companion that was thrust upon them before they were ready.
