Yup. I was gonna say the same thing, so I'm glad you mentioned it. The foreshadowing of that scene is one of the many things I didn't notice during my first (or second) time watching Gravity Falls. One of the things I love most about this show is the rewatchability. There are so many small details!

I'm pretty sure the talking animal heads are a reference to Evil Dead which is kinda funny not just because it's funny for a kid's show to reference a classic horror movie but because another Disney cartoon Ducktales (the reboot) also referenced it, they actually had the necronomicon (as a vhs) in it and some zombies for a quick gag.

The scariest thing about that bell they kept using on Pacifica is that its NOT some Gravity Falls magic Mumbo Jumbo. Its an obedience method used in real life, particularly for training dogs
