Lapis only aiming her anger at the Crystal Gems and now Peridot, it reminds me of what Perry said when they were drilling down to the Cluster. "It's hard not to have some feelings for the place you come from". Homeworld put Lapis in the mirror, interrogated her and then left her behind and cracked her gem. But it is all she knew and the Crystal Gems left her in there for thousands of years. It is probably easier for Lapis to Direct her rage at the Crystal Gems because those feelings are less complicated. Her being angry at Peridot is closer to the truth but still a few degrees removed from the true source of her pain. Sometimes it is easier to lash out at others than face the real cause of your turmoil, people do that all the time. it is just a great way of showing how emotions can be misdirected and that it is difficult to come to terms with that sometimes. It's not okay but it IS understandable and forgivable. I love Lapis' journey in the show.

Kat, I think it was one of the crystal gem soldiers* that originally stabbed & poofed Lapis (destroyed her form and reduced her to just the gem) before she was put in the mirror by Homeworld. (If you take a look at that scene from Lapis' point of view you'll know who I mean - wink, wink).
