Keep Beach City Weird, of course, everyone who lives in a city want it to stay weird. Or go back to being weird in a lot of cases. So who is it that works to remove the weirdness, the porousness, who makes the city smooth? (There's a book called Smooth City that provides some good terminology for these things.) Could it be the one who demands the neighbors who don't fit in move away? How I love this show and its lessons.

I think Roses "death" forced Amethyst to age a lot. That why her apparent age is so different in the flashback ep. Like the trauma aged her.
