It's interesting y'all talk about them not knowing what an impact the show would have, because in fact this serial was the season finale of Dr Who's first season, and while they were taling it they didn't yet know if they'd be renewed for a second. That's why the first two episodes of the story had a lot of "think of all we've been through" dialogue, setting up a possible series end. If you want the Doctor's signet ring-- alas, there doesn't seem to be an official replica, but you can find some illustrations online that will help locate a close-enough version in costume jewelry shops.

The belief that no would be interested in watching old episodes of Doctor Who and other shows is a big part of the reason that the BBC destroyed all their copies of many programs leaving many episodes like part 4 and 5 of this story missing.
