I love rewatching this series with y'all. The level of violation Ellen commited on Saul went over my head when I first watched this, but the emotion on your faces spoke volumes and I am in a place now where I totally get it. Also, kudos to the sound department for making sure we knew the lab scene was ultimately supposed to be comedic, because the actors had to play it totally straight. And if the music had been dramatic, it wouldn't have worked. Also, the subtle mention of Billy stating "we don't know who's been replaced with a Cylon" because it's one thing for there to be sleeper agents, who appear human, but this might be the first time they're considering that maybe real people were *replaced* by Cylons. Just another way for the show to frak with us - like Adama "suddenly" acting strangely. Not a spoiler, just noting how his comment played into *this* episode.

Your reaction to Ellen Tigh did not disappoint. It's been nearly 20 years but the dialog and the acting still hit hard. She is easily the most repulsive character in the series and that's saying something lol.

I'm not sure how you're managing the TW/spoiler issues, but this show deals with some of the most difficult and real experiences there are. It seems crazy that we should be surprised by the trauma considering how the whole story starts, but somehow it manages to do it.
