Thank you so much for sharing your experience with PTSD Kat. It's nice to know there are people who get it, and I know how uncomfortable it can be to talk about. I was one of the kids that grew up with Steven Universe, and I didn't really know why it meant so much to me back then. Around the time Future was coming out I was really starting to grapple with how my childhood had affected me, and it ended up really hitting close to home. This sounds weird, but SU is a show that I love so painfully much that it's hard to watch alone. Whether that's because it reminds me of all the things it helped me through, or because it's so relatable, I don't know. I think I appreciate your reactions so much because it's almost like they put some kind of barrier between me and the full mental impact of the series. It's easier to enjoy when it doesn't feel like I'm just alone with my feelings (non-parasocially 💀). Thank you both for loving this show and treating the topics it covers with care :)
