It's just occurred to me that there is a clue at the start of this episode about River's identity. "Are you boys dressing up as Romans now? I thought nobody read my memos?" - So, like mother, like daughter, River has a thing for men dressed as Romans! 😉

I just put my copy of the episode in a window on top of the blurry image, that way it isn't a problem.

Mind you, Catherine Tate in that scene where her children disappear in Forest Of The Dead is really chilling and horrific. She is a bloody great actor!

You gave him two extra years. He said he was nearly twelve. At least that's something for a Sontaran. I think fourteen is stretching it a bit!

I don't know if you addressed it in the video (don't really have time to watch today) but I think this isn't actually the next point in River's timeline. she already has her vortex manipulator here, but she first got it in "The Pandorica Opens" from Dorium, her contemporary, who dies here.

according to screen rant 18 people been in ST & DW, with 2 more being in TW & SW

It’s fun watching this now that Christina Chong aka Lorna Bucket is a regular in Star Trek strange new worlds making her one of the few actors to have appeared in both franchise.

Matt Smith's acting is superb in this episode, but he's not alone. They're all good, but Karen Gillan does such a good job selling the "my baby just turned to goo in my arms" scene. I'm so pleased for her that her post-Who career has been such a success. Well deserved.

The thing with unattended headphone wires tangling themselves up is a fundamental law of physics. Which also applies to climbing ropes and stage lighting extension leads! 🤔

I’ve come up with an explanation as to how the Timeless Child and River Song can work together. What if prolonged exposure to the untempered schism allows your body to be shaped and manipulated anyway you want to, including reproducing existing abilities like regeneration. So I think after Tecteun’s experiments on the Doctor ended, when she gene spliced their regenerative DNA into Shobogan DNA, Tecteun and the other two Time Lord founders Rassilon and Omega, built the untempered schism and discovered that exposure to the time vortex allowed them to manipulate and shape their bodies, and so used that as the creation myth of regeneration, telling all of the Time Lords that it was through extensive studies and experiments on their DNA after prolonged exposure to the untempered schism, that allowed them to produce the ability to regenerate, covering up the fact that they’d taken it from the Doctor.

We did see Strax's death scene, but not his resurrection. Rory was with him. Strax said something to the effect that he was nearly 14. Rory said Strax had a full life & Strax looked at him and said, "Rory, I was a nurse!" Burn!

"Oh, cuckoo bananas!" 🤣 I'm adding that to my lexicon. Copyright: Paula Deming! However, sorry gals, it's just one of those things. i have to take care of my eyes and I can't take blurry images. The CPU in my Aspie artist brain just can't take it. I'll keep up the donations though, simply because i love rewatching your Star Trek TNG reactions. Sorrowfully, I can't watch your new reactions. 😢

There was also that Rain Gods short you could've watched before this. It's only 2 minutes though and there's not much more continuity with the rest of it, only mentions of them going on another date. You probably won't miss much, just thought I'd mention.
