I have a suspicion that the "unsuitable for younger viewers" warning may have been less about the rubber monster, and more because of the explicit mention of the Committee for the Liberation and Integration of Terrifying Organisms and their Rehabilitation Into Society! TV censorship is weird like that! π

Paula was right, that medical supply gag make no sense when you think about it. especially since the kitchen/bar probably had real dishes Lister could use. This was a fine example of the "rule of funny"
