The point is more that the Indigo, Hoenn and Sinnoh elites have been far more active and faced more adversity. Unova has been isolated and stagnant. They've been at the top with nothing to push them further. Now they've been pushed. Now they'll go further. Also, Drake and John could reasonably match up with champions.

Noted! Thanks for the comment. I think that impression you got was due to the fact that the Unova Elite Four were facing off against some pretty bad opponents (for them). John and Drake are easily the most powerful Elite Four members in their region, and Karen and Sidney were both good matchups against Grimsley and Shauntal respectively. This probably made them seem much weaker than anticipated, but I assure you that once we see more of the Unova Elite Four they won't be too much weaker (if at all) than their other counterparts. Maybe I'll go over the chapter sometime in the future and adjust some of the descriptions so they don't seem as weak. Hope that helps!

Anywho, I would definitely love to see all the people that have a Bisharp [one or just one or two notable characters (: ] get a Kingambit.

Yeah, I gotta admit, as much as I liked seeing Tyrant again, I really do not like how the Unova Elite Four are being portrayed as the weaker Elite Four when compared to Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, or even Sinnoh. I just don't think it's right at all, frankly, and at the very at least, they should be portrayed as equals to the Sinnoh Elite and Hoenn Elite Four. I don't think I've ever said this about your story, but I do think you dropped the ball in regard to how you've handled them. I get Adler getting beaten, because, lets face it, he's the weakest champion (which gives generalists a bad name, if it wasn't for my queen Cynthia, generalists in the Elite Four level would probably be laughed out of the room), but I do think the Unova should be portrayed as roughly equal to the Hoenn and Sinnoh Elite Four.

Kinda. Just like you said, Tyrant's only really doing this because it's a 1v1 battle and he KNOWS he can take the hit - which in turn leads to him having a positional advantage over his opponent. And as a brawler, trading hits is pretty common anyways. However, you're right in that in a full 6v6 where Tyrant needs to possibly take on multiple Pokemon back-to-back, then he would probably fight more conservatively with his health. Hope that helps!

As expected of Tyrant lol. Grimsley should’ve showed more respect like I said. Whatever Elite 4 John meets after unova, they better read the room lol.

First off, kind of funny how Grimsley is a lot more vulgar in his head than expected. Second off, in these last few battles especially, John has had Slaking forcefully tank everything, even from other elite fours, even when it seems he doesn't really have to. It absolutely secures the win in a 1v1 scenario, but in a 6v6 the extra damage might come back to bite him. Is it newfound arrogance after the battle with Palkia, or is it simply strategy to show how even another elite four pokemon can't scratch Tyrant?

That’s the roll of dice for Grimsley.

Cool POV change

grimsley: i took a calculated risk but man am i bad at math

Israfil

So...Grimsley is like the Will of Unova, sort off. He's just worst at it, not seeing the math. That's a gambler for you I guess.

David Green

It's going to be interesting to see how you deal with any possible future regions that they discover as I can only think that they will experience the same as unova where it's one versus many, especially if the stones figure out mega Stone deleting kalos's advantage

Woooooow grimsley, just woow
