Great chapter! Really like the politics going on, and the unique idea of additional Dojo’s as challenges after the standard 8 gyms. And I hope to see Whitney as a Dojo master or Gym leader eventually!

Wow, thanks for the extensive comment! I appreciate your ideas for possible new incentives! As for John and Cynthia, yeah their relationship has been slightly on the backburner in recent chapters. That's mostly because I had other things in the chapters I wanted to focus on instead. But I promise that I haven't forgotten about their relationship, and there will be more interactions between them later!

You could add a few additional incentives for each emblem that a trainer gains. For example, for the first one a trainer will get a slightly larger (for those who want to stay with their traveling companions) or single room at a conference hotel only available to those who gain their first emblem. It will give them visible prestige to be staying at a prestigious place, something thats also a benefit since they dont need to hope to get a good room, and also something that will make their conference easier with part of their logistics already sorted and not something they need to have to handle. For the second (could be swapped with the benefits for the first based on the leagues resources) is access to a Pokemon centre specifically for those who earn two emblems. I imagine, especially having seen how busy the centres are in the anime and how rocket capitalises on it to steal pokemon in the anime, it would be a massive advantage and one that also, as mentioned before, has visible prestige and allows for said trainers to have more time on their hands, better logistics and also help ease the burden on the other centres. For 3 emblems… im not sure to be honest. Maybe some kind of social event they can attend like at the start of the Kalos league in the anime? I always thought that was quite a cool thing to see, especially given that it allowed trainers to meet up with friends they met, see the competition, and honestly just have a good time. Maybe having that as something for just the single emblem holders or something. But in general, anything that could help trainers at the conference would be good. Having less to have to worry about is always helpful when they want to focus on putting their best foot forward, and since these emblems are just something extra, the incentives need to be there. You could for example, have them give out high level tm’s or something, but that would put more of a financial strain on the league, or something else like that. But in the end conference benefits i think would be far more of an incentive. And thats not to mention the general benefit it will have given the open borders side of things. The freedom of movement will mean there will be a higher influx of trainers and spectators from elsewhere, especially with unova now in the mix, so any additional facilities that would ease that strain, especially with the Pokemon centres, will be of massive benefit. And then there is the aspect of increased travel to these dojo’s. With more incentives, it brings more appeal to visit these islands. That will mean high level trainers who will be generally have more spending power than the average trainers, especially with food costs for larger fully evolved teams, will be spending their wealth in the less affluent islands. It will stimulate their local economy, and growth of the communities. Issues such as food prices might arise, but if it is regulated (or supplemented by league supplying food from the mainland) it can be countered. And even more beneficial in my honest opinion is the fact that the world league or whatever its called headquarters is located on the islands. It will be a target. So what better way to buff up security than by increasing the presence of high level trainers year round on the islands? Of course, that will have its own downsides such as battles and conflicts between high level trainers, but that i imagine will be a small one given that they are experienced and have more self control than the regular new trainers, so will go to battle in permitted spaces. Furthermore there will be the incentives for trainers to spend their time training on the islands given they will be the locations for the highest level battles in the circuit, creating an economy for those who offer training services, items and healthcare (leisure included in that), once again stimulating the islands and so on. That could be taken into account with the whole financial setup for the project, with the league paying the upfront costs and the islands repaying it over a 10/20 year payment plan or something. Maybe with a delay since it will take time for the economic stimulus to take effect and for the business to grow on the islands. Anyway, those are just some thoughts. Feel free to copy and paste anything you like from above to save yourself some time in writing. I know it can be a bit tedious to rewrite ideas and all that 👍 Also, i want to see some more Cynthia John interactions. We got them sitting down watching the news, but that is literally it. For s subplot thats been following the story we have seen literally nothing from them. Even if its just the occasional phone call added into a chapter, anything to make it seem like its not been completely forgotten and to have some substance!
