This just shows the folly of the French kings. I understand the Tihli, goblins, and wyrmlings were kept secret. However, how do you ignore a force of hundreds of ogres and only focus on the humans? It doesn’t make much sense for them to think Alexander is not a big player with only about a thousand humans.

He could still get it, but he'd have to devote 20 levels of experience to a fairly mediocre class just for the chance it might evolve to something better. That's a big chunk of experience that could go to one of the more powerful classes he still needs to level. Maybe someday though, when things are less dangerous out there.

Also random question can Alexander the mage still pick up the mage class(not sure if that was the name of the magic class) if he has the ascendant elementalist class because I assume it originally was evolved from the base class. If so would you make him pick it up to have a chance at making his own unique class or give it to a different doppelgänger 🧐🧐

The only thing stopping Alexander from going on a world conquest is a simple lack of men for his legion. If he had additional 20,000 men, guns, supplies, and all the other essentials I don't think anyone or anything could stop him.

So I suspect these people know what a dragon is, but they haven't ever seen one, right? And here's the foreigner upstart flying in on a beast of legend. Adds a lot of weight to this Bigger Stick diplomacy. I wonder how many of these soldiers are a good fit for the legions. They were willing to die for their king a few weeks ago, so they're not cowards.

I’m re-listening to Book 1, Ch 42 where Alexander murders all the priests. He can get pretty vengeful, huh?

What about the automaton mages from the last book I figured they would also be in Alexander’s army it would be fun to see how their magic worked

It will be interesting to see if Alexander integrates the knights and mages of the defeated French into his army, if any of them survived and are willing😇
