Oh yes, lots will happen in this book and book 5, not just an entire year of taking classes and focusing solely on the mage. We have much wider world to explore with all the different doppelgangers. :)

Squeezing the school year like this implies that there's more planned for this book than I was hoping for. 🤩 I hope he gets the chance to do more in uni before he's sent to fight his older brothers. Or before the good kids are sent to their deaths. I imagine the other Alexanders would figure out a solution if they had to fight them. They're not just family friends, but his own friends. A little parasocial.

It's good the two Alexanders didn't meet. They'd have been seen together, his Monk's name would have been dropped, and some smart students with lots of free time would have figured it out.

Lol. At least he didn't get first place in all of them, though it would have probably given him some measure of respect. When that outrage started, I actually thought to myself: "hey now, you don't want to antagonise Alexander. He failed his manners classes." Though I suspect he might not have actually failed.
