🕑 Added 2019-06-01 20:10:56 +0000 UTCOkay... I think I overshot the age for our American neighbours when Shag started beating off to Little Lorna so I updated it in the post and changed the age to 15.
I'm not sure if everyone knows but the age of consent in the USA is 18 while in the rest of the world it is 16. I wanted to make Shag super creepy so while in the rest of the world 12-14 is super creepy, in the USA creepy is 15-17.
I was thinking of this the other day (as I do...) and in the Bible there is no age of consent so this is a fictional construct as far as Christianity/Quakers goes. Mostly girls in the Bible were married away at 12-16. Queen Esther married at 14, Rachel was 14, Leah was 16 (old for a bride), and Mary was 12... possibly 13. (If you didn't notice, I'm a bit of a Biblical geek!).
Well, these are not Biblical times so these ages are not permissible in the post-feminist era. If girls were expected to be married at 12 there would be no education or careers or opportunities for them and they would be still given away by their fathers as property. Eighteen may mean Americans are more progressive in their feminism even though recent legislation MAY contradict that notion... we all have our own definition of feminism.
Now, if you were ever a girl, you would know that the age when guys start creeping on you is about 12-13. So... yeah. Its natural for many guys just not permissible in our culture or our society would fall apart. BUT... I guess that's why we're all here! There are things that we have urges for that are socially and morally taboo so we live them in the cartoon world through Little Lorna and no one has to ever do it in real life. If everyone read Little Lorna comix, what a better place this would be!! ;)
Anyways... no judgement either way and I believe any government knows what best for their people... just a fun fact that makes many of our societies different!

When I was a kid, say 18 the age of consent in Oklahoma was 14. Even now when someone gets arrested they molestation of a child under 16. So laws change. My Aunt was 14 when she got married and had her first child at 15. Of course the world was different place and longevity was different too.

I treat cartoon sex like cartoon violence. All excites that reptilian side of our brains. Both are harmless (and even a good outlet) so long as it doesn’t cross any boundaries into reality! The public however seems more accepting of violence over sex which gets me mad. Art is awesome that way... in both in its creation and consumption.

That I didn’t know! You seem to be well versed in this. I thought all states were 18. So is there a problem of guys crossing state lines to date younger girls? I didn’t know that about cartoons not being classified as such but that makes sense. Meg from Family guy is occasionally put into sexual situations.

For what it's worth, US states vary considerably on the age of consent. There is no federal age outside of the military's criminal code, which actually sets the age at 16. About half of the states are at 18, close to half are at 16, and a smaller number are at 17. For pornography purposes, it's 18 across the board, but the Supreme Court has rejected treating cartoons as child pornography.

It’s a really weird thing, because what i like about cartoon porn is that some of this rules can be played with. But, when all is said and done, it’s a cartoon. It’s not real. So no one gets hurt. Age of consent to me has always been a tricky topic. Where i come from, i got lady friends who got pregnant at 15, 16 (and some where active even as early as 12,13). And they are doing just fine. It’s a maturity thing for me. Obviously there’s crazy ages (anything below 10 for me). I enjoy when you speak your mind like this. If’s im ever in your area i’ll pay you a beer or two. Or food. I’m a foodie :)
