A poor artist blames the tools...
🕑 Added 2020-06-10 18:42:58 +0000 UTCI think its my tools' fault! I noticed how slow my equipment is getting. My Mac is from 2012 and my tablet is from 2011! Having aged equipment is really making is tough to do the pencils as the cursor lags and the computer has trouble doing the complex calculations for a pencil stroke... I notice how tedious it is to draw compared to on my iPad which is nice and snappy.
SO... I'm taking my Patreon money and reinvesting it back into new equipment. I'll be able to recover some money from my equipment right now so it won't be so bad (Plus... I just sold off one of my aging printers for $2000!).
The new equipment will consist of:
-Mac Mini i7 w/Sonnet Puck eGPU
-Cintiq 24 Pro
Unfortunately, due to Corona, things are taking a long time to arrive.
As for now, I'll speed paint the first five or so pages and see how it goes. It will be no inks, no colors and really work on my line work. Just so you guys who are kind of uninterested in this comic, I'll try and do about a page a day so this should only take about a week or so. I'm going to experiment with different colouring and line techniques. I think I like the way the last panel looks best. The finished lines on the previous panels are way too strong.
(oh! was just interrupted from typing this post by someone who wants to purchase my setup for $2800!!... oh please... oh please... let the sale go through!!)

Perhaps you should replace some of the loud swearing of the priestess to something for a divine caster - less "MOTHERFUCKER" - and more like "by Herakles hairy testicles!" or "Hades hateful eye should consume them!", "ZEUS LIGHTNING SHOULD INCINERATE THEIR HEATHEN CORPSES!!!"

I fear Cintiqs are hot items with all of the animators working from home. Webcams are very short supply because of everyone zooming now! You got lucky it arrived at all!
