Happy New Year! 2024 plans…
🕑 Added 2024-01-04 16:22:22 +0000 UTCWell, this year has started out with a fizzle. I apologize for the lack of posting while I had a house guest. I really needed to take a break from all of the drawing I had to do for the XXXmas advent calendar and the stomach bug I got really beat me up.
During this time, I had time to do a lot of reflection on my path as an artist and was remembering all of the bans I have had that has resulted in catastrophic impacts on my ability to keep creating comics. Many of you have first discovered my art from the Amazon Kindle which was my beginning of treating my art professionally. When I got thrown off of the platform, it was all of YOU on Patreon that has kept me going supporting all of the comics, tales, illustrations, trading cards, and countless other art over The past 10 years.
Sadly, it is only a matter of time before Patreon gets taken over by the ever growing influence of puritan ideals and I will find my art homeless once again. That, will sadly be the end of my art permanently I fear. My other business’ are growing over the years, and it is getting more and more difficult for me to dedicate so much time to this.
Through the years, you have supported many series of Little Lorna comic stories, Tales and other comics and I think it is time for me to hedge my revenue to prepare for the inevitable removal of my art from this platform. From the discussions I have had with some of you, I have come to this decision.
I am going to make a serious attempt to independently publish my works at last!
What I hope to do is threefold.
KICKSTARTER: I am going to put my Tales Of Little Lorna together into a giant book and offer it on Kickstarter. There are 12 stories for a total of 75 pages + extras which will make a pretty substantial 80+page book. I also have 16 Adventure of Little Lorna mini-stories for a total of 72 pages which should give me another 80+ page Omnibus. When I finish the third chapter of Doves Of Peril, that will be another 66 pages for a 70+ page trade paperback. Hopefully, these three will be able to be the “advance” for future projects. Unfortunately, I will need to make $4000-$8000 profit per campaign to fully be independent from this platform and out of the reach of the puritans so it may be too big of an ask relative to my current readership.
SUPPORTERS HERE: If this is successful, I will deactivate my account here, never to return. However, I do not want us all to disband as your support for my art has been so important. What I intend to do is close off my discord to new members and install every supporter who has contributed a certain amount to me over the decade as a life-time member. There, I will post updates, WIP and comic pages just as I do now. No need to ever pay to enjoy my art again. A special “Thank you” to you!
WEBSITE/magazine: The only flaw in this is that eventually Kickstarter will be overrun by puritans as well and I need to make sure that the readers will be able to find me so there will be my own ecommerce website. The goal of this website is more then just me. I want it to be a place where ALL erotic artists can sell and promote their art. With the ability to print my own publications, what I’d really like to do is offer a monthly magazine where artists can submit a comic to publish in it as promotion. Hopefully I can get a few dozen artists to submit a few of their old comics a few times a year which should make it a worthwhile publication.
This is all contingent on Kickstarter being a success and if it isn’t, well… no harm except time. Things will continue here as usual and I will have to just live with the fact that it may all go away at the blink of a puritan’s eye.
Let me know what you think of my plan! Is there anything that I may have missed? Am I being too optimistic or not realistic?

Try Dreamhost for webhosting - affordable, "Letter of the law in the USA" and they host tons of porn sites including the art ones like Slipshine. Plus Neo N-zi stuff, blocks of encrypted TOR that might be part of the Darkweb. They'll shut down a Pirate Bay 2.0 or things that break (via legal papers filed) the letter of the law but otherwise NUCLEAR free speech OK.

This are porn comics and tales. I know you want to print them and all those romantic ideas of seeing them in print are beautiful, but you looking for profit or what? SubStar is the true answer. You can do what you want content wise, and fans will be more satisfied.

kickstarter campaigns always need bonus’ so I imagine at higher tiers you get sketchbooks, cover variants and bonus pages.

it will sort of be on a case by case I imagine. i get a lot of site scrapers that join, scrape all of my content then re-post it for their own revenue. I want to make sure they can not come back.
