We know how you feel don;t give up hope, I had a loving cat break out of an apartment years ago we put signs up and thought we'd neer se him again3 weeks latere he was at the windo asking to be let in.

I am so sorry. I hope he comes home soon. If you haven't already, search online for things you can do to help him find his way home. If he has a favorite blanket you can hang it outside to give him a scent trail to get home. Stuff like that.
