I can never keep track of how many Star Trek roles Jeffrey Combs has played. It could be argued that it's way more than nine, but that's if you include clones, holographic copies and mirror universe doppelgangers. If my sexual orientation were different, I'd probably have a crush on one of Combs' recurring DS9 characters (not the Ferengi one).

This episode is one of the reasons I think Boimler isn't asexual, because Bilups clearly is, and boimler's reactions to relationships seem different to me, less ambivilant.

This is such a great point!! I love knowing it could help connect with people out there that way - Kat

This episode, and Billup's sutuation with his family, has resonated a lot with asexual and aromantic Trek fans. The idea of feeling pressure to have a relationship or conform to familial expectations is something many aroace people, like me, feel to a greater or lesser extent.

Kind of wish they cast him as the Doctor on Strange New Worlds. He kind of looked like the actor/doctor on the Cage. Even though I do like M'Benga.

Sorry... too complicated... brain shutting dow... dow... black licorice.

How did I watch this? I was having lunch with cold pepperoni pizza! Trivia time! June Diane Raphel who voiced Billups's Queen Mother is married to Paul Scheer who voices Billups. Paul Scheer *also* guest starred on the "The Good Place" as a Good Place Architect. Eugene Cordero was also a guest star on "The Good Place", playing Pillboi, the same Eugene Cordero who voices Rutherford. The circle of liiiiiiiife.... Or in this case, the circle of comedians and comic actors who travel in the same circles. Heh. And yeah, Jeffrey Combs along with J.G. Hertzler (who also shows up in "Lower Decks" at a later date) are really the Star Trek Universe heavy hitters -- appearing in multiple shows across multiple series, despite the fact that neither one of them ever were in a Star Trek main cast.

Combs had a recurring role on "Enterprise," and it's thought that he might have finally become a regular on the fifth season... which unfortunately didn't happen. Oh.. In answer to what is my hair doing? Greying. And I'm having a nice German beer and enjoying my Friday evening with the Gals! :)

Christopher Dorn

My thinking as well.

In bed watching at midnight snacking on cookies

Jeffrey Combs has been in 30 episodes of Star Trek which is very impressive for non main cast. Disappointed he wasn't in discovery

Another great reaction to another great episode. Super fun intro. Usually snack on chips for your videos. Lime and black pepper right now or sometimes Fuzzy Peach candies. All the evil computers at the end is hilarious. Love the "Medieval/Fantasy" planet idea. I enjoy Lower Decks expanding on obscure stuff in Star Trek. Spock referenced seeing dragons in the TOS episode This Side Of Paradise ( you Gals would probably enjoy that one) and T'Pol references the same planet in the Enterprise episode Bound. I say it is the same planet that Billups people are from.

Travis Boyle

True. Wouldn't that count as masturbating. If the holodeck and replicators were real no one would leave the house. Lol

Terrell Kirkman

One question I have is, if Billups has sex on the holideck with a fictional character. Does that count as losing his virginity?

Robert Carson

Dragons and mutton sounds great to me. For snacks fruit slices, not real fruit but the candy jelly types. Grape, Lime, Orange, and Sour Apple

Jack O

"Black licorice, black." Thanks replicator. I typically watch these when I wake up so no snacks for me!

Christopher Dorn

Get ready for the next 3 episodes. You'll laugh, cry, and get very angry. 😏😏😏
