Lower Decks definitely deserves the love and praise, it does not disappoint, and more so - it is endlessly rewatchable, there are so many jokes and references that even if 5 seasons is all we get, I don't see myself getting tired of it any time soon..

Pandronians are another race first introduced in the animated series. Before LD, the only other Pandronian seen on screen was named Bem, which was also the name of the TAS episode in which he appeared. The name was kind of a joke, since BEM is an acronym for "bug eyed monster." Like Shari, Bem also referred to himself as "this one" (but he had a way more annoying voice). Fun fact: that episode is notable for revealing for the first time that Captain Kirk's middle initial stands for Tiberius.

One of the three episodes of LD I have ever watched, and the one that cemented my opinion of it. It's overwritten, unfunny and well, a bit boring. It just feels like it was funnier in the writers heads than on screen, and self-congratulatory writing just does my tits in. The Orville does sci-fi dramedy so much better that this and Prodigy does animated Trek better than this.
