Cooking show-competition portion I think is easy enough to follow. The only thing that might go over their heads is the "All Creatures Great and Small" joke near the beginning. But other than that? As an American I had no issues "getting it", other than that one joke.

I think I’m in a minority in saying this season is quite good. It’s certainly different, but has some great moments. It is a bit, well… ‘Lads’ as they say. Still, I enjoyed it. Also, Kat, yes you do look a lot different with a different hair style. I was watching you on that other channel way back and when I tripped on this one it took me forever to realize you were the same person. Hair really does change a person’s appearance.

I always think that the lack of audience means that these smegups, although fun, aren’t as funny as when they can really play to the audience and joke with them when they fluff.

I am SUPER curious if the Gallifrey Gals are planning to view "Can't Smeg, Won't Smeg", because that is frankly hilarious, although I feel it's very Britain-coded because it's a take off of a show most people outside that viewing area aren't familiar with. Or at least I know I wasn't until that segment showed up on my DVD special features.

Yay! Love the smeg ups! Craig Charles has a really good memory and it's a rare occurrence for him to mess up his lines. He usually ends up in the smeg ups when he breaks the props, but maybe they were better at Craig-proofing them this series! I agree that this series started good and finished good, it was the bit in the middle that let it down.
