Oh man, I'll be honest, I cannot watch the Dibbley scenes. In a way, they summarize the series VIII vibe for me - trying too hard, and only sometimes getting it right. I fully agree that Chris's Rimmer salutes are wonderful (I knew you'd enjoy those). and personally, I really like the factory reset of Kryten, and how he reverts to the OG Kryten as seen in series II... but man. Series VIII is a wild ride, and not in the best way. Thank you so much for letting me re-watch it in such a delightful way!
