Oh absolutely! I think a lot of benefit can come from a white person calling out white privilege in this way. I definitely feel a co-writer would have been a good idea, but for that part it's more of an overall statement/gesture. They really should work to diversify the writers and that's something I definitely respect Chibnall for too - Kat

I think it is important that this episode was written by a White writer for a White audience because these are the conversations White people need to have. It is important that White audiences sit in their discomfort and not rely on Black people to explain why they are uncomfortable. With that being said, I feel this is the kind of story which really bennefits from a Black writer, co-writer, or sensitivity consultant. I hope that Ncuti felt comfortable voiceing his thoughts on the script.
