is it just me or when Adama said "they were not super men" the gap between the words was just a little too long? like the actor had to remind himself that 'superman' was not a cultural reference the colonials would recognize

i've seen too many people go the way of Dee, one quite recently. The only way I could process some of that was to write a poem. My gift to you all. I called it "The Day After" The day after there's a vacancy, In the space where you used to be, So much life yet such fragility, A maelstrom of such tranquility, I miss the you you used to be, I miss the you you should have been, Infinite potential unspent and unused, How does it begin to find another you, The answer my friend is it cannot begin, There is always a gap that cannot be filled, An unfinished melody without a conclusion, A part of the world that's full of confusion, The die is cast and life goes on, Your song was sung and now is gone, If only you knew how much you mean, If only you knew how you shattered the dream, There's a you shaped hole in the world today, Your memories may go and fade away, But the ripples you made will last until, The last eyes that saw you will also be still.
