Paula has been out of the country for the last couple of weeks. So we had to put all of our reactions on hold at the moment. We should hopefully be back to some regularly scheduled posting by next week! And LoVM is absolutely on that list!

I knew nothing about this show, but the bits of animation captured in the screen grabs just enchanted me so much that I just had to watch. I sat down to watch the first episode with your reaction and got sucked in. I sobbed. Several times. I...I don't know if I can watch again. I was in the middle of the run and told my brother I was watching this and he laughed at me, refused to spoil anything, and said, "When you're done sobbing and staring at the far wall, call me and I'll tell you how hard I cried at the end." So....yeah. Sobbing seems to be a common thing. Although the end it was crying from happiness that it all worked out. I'm with you. This series was an amazing work of art. Thank you for reacting to it and introducing this wonderful, strange, little thing to me. Not sure I can watch it again, though, even though I know it works out in the end.

You can actually hear the train and see them underwater in the first episode :). Also Jason Funderberker is based on the creator. Wirt is sooooo relatable and it's sometimes hard to watch. So happy to watch this with ya and excited to watch it again with you and Paula.

Sorry, I know you'll probably get more than one person pointing this out, but Greg and Wirt are half-brothers. They have the same mom (who is presumably alive and well). This was mentioned by Wirt in "Songs of the Dark Lantern."
