Agreed, plus aren't the angels supposed to be made of stone? The Statue of Liberty is hollow and I thought was made of copper?

The big thing I take whenever I think back to this episode is Amy's choice to all intents and purposes to commit suicide. She didn't know that the angel would send her back to Rory, it was just as likely that it would kill her. But she still would choose death rather than live on without him.

River reaction when she first met Rory, always seemed strange too me. she was too calm, her inquiries didn't have any real curiosity in them. it was almost like she was following a script, which kind of make me wonder if she was already spoiled on the ending of the episode.

Was the Statue of Liberty really necessary? It took me out of the story both times it appeared and I didnt think it really added anything more than momentary surprise the first time. Just too silly and really adds nothing to the plot - asking for a friend.

Well, since River was able to time travel to NY before the story starts and the time-whatsis was already damaged, theres at least some hope she can do it again... without destroying the universe... again.

I always had a little voice in the back of my head, "but what about Amy's mother and "tiny" dad?" Brian does get a goodbye of sorts but after destroying/recreating the entire universe to get her parents back, there is no contact ever again. I shouldnt think too hard about these things

Also, if the paradox is localised to New York in 1938, the longer the Ponds live out their lives, the further they are get from the space-time location that the Tardis can't visit. So if Karen Gillan and Arthur Darvill ever decide they'd like to return, they could easily do a story where a future Doctor bumps into them in late 40s/early 50s NYC! (Well I can hope).
