A very Happy belated Birthday Paula, Kat you look(ed) fangtastic! (Sorry couldn't resist!)

"What do you want to do now, Captain?" "The same thing we always do. Fight 'em until we can't"

Late happy birthday Paula. Kat you look great. I really loved this episode. Snacky is awesome. Really liked his psychiatrist session with Rimmer. And Cat's "tuck tuck" thing was pretty funny. I personally really enjoyed this era of Red Dwarf. I was glad Series 8 wasn't the last we saw of these fabulous characters. Anyway thanks I really needed this today. ๐Ÿ˜Š

Happy (late) birthday Paula**. Kat, when I saw your fangs I thought of the Cat plush and when you pulled it out, it made me happy. ** Sorry I wasnt able to find a Snacky to send you. Maybe next year?

I remember really liking Series XI, but thinking that Series X was superior. This go-round I'm liking it just as much as Series X. [I, too, need this today.]

In between his kidneys, his spleen, two appendix and an arm it's surprising that anything is left of Lister!

DANGER DANGER, MIKE CONNAGHAN ๐Ÿ˜„

I bring it up because of robot.

How familiar are you with the original "Lost In Space" series? Besides being cult-iconic in its own right, it can help give perspective to ST:TOS.

Mike Connaghan

Fang you very much for these reactions!

You know, itโ€™s funnyโ€ฆthis era of Dwarf Iโ€™m not that familiar with, unlike the BBC episodes that Iโ€™ve seen over and over again, with these episodes I mostly watched on original broadcast and havenโ€™t revisited often. I donโ€™t remember thinking that this series was anything special, but these first 3 eps Iโ€™ve absolutely loved.

This. It's a really neat timeloop but an onscreen explanation of the kidneys in the jar is really needed, a lot of people seem confused at it. What I think the episode needs is just a joke at the end where Lister realises they caused the whole thing and chases after Kryten in anger or something.

Talking appliances are a return to form. the early seasons had greats like talkie toaster and the soup vending machine and Holly.

Probably the 'low point' of series XI but it's still a really fun romp. Naylor's writing once again is on point, the highlight being the interchange between Lister and Cat. It's written like two people who have known each other for years and know each other's character sets, warts and all. Rimmer's long term feud with the Dwarf's subsystems continues; if it's not lifts, it's toasters (not the Cylon kind) or dispensing machines or ships computers or Scutters! The lift gag reminds me of Future Echoes with the causality, and yes it does make sense in a wibbly wobbly way. Dang temporal mechanics! Danny looks as good as always; man has blessed genetics and it doesn't hurt that he can go buck wild with the makeup!

This episode confused me the first time I watched. Now I understand what happened and it all actually makes sense. Here is what happened in chronological order: - Lister travels back in time and steals his own kidneys and installs the MTK chip in his past self. -Lister spends 2 days in bed thinking he is hung-over. - Asclepius captures Lister and discovers he has an MTK chip and no kidneys. Asclepius removes the MTK chip and defrosts 2 kidneys from cold storage to implant in Lister. - Rimmer destroys the 2 kidneys before Asclepius can implant them. - Lister travels back in time and steals his own kidneys and installs the MTK chip in his past self.

I really need this today.
