what I know is that the show wasn't canceled because how many watched it, it was canceled because they believe that the show does not create enough new members at that point.

It sucks that AI is being used to straight up replace human jobs. I was always excited for it so I could do really dumb stuff that no actual human would do. I've mostly lost interest in it at this point.

I think that Lower Decks struggled with this a little at first, but they definitely landed in a spot where they acknowledge that Starfleet is something special and that even the less glamorous parts or our crew of weirdos still embody the ideals that Starfleet represents (don't get me started all of this dumb Section 31 stuff). So, is Ransom a fitness-obsessed, narcissistic bro-ey dick sometimes? Sure, but he's still Starfleet and when push comes to shove, he will generally do the right thing.
