They definitely play up Serial Backstabbing Disorder being a personality trait of the whole Eight line. I like the little moment when Sharon runs into one of the rebel Eights who immediately starts talking shit about the Sixes, and Sharon shuts it down with such disgust.

Poor idealistic, naive Gaeta. If you look at his journey through the series, it's just him getting frakked over, over and over again. And except for what we learn here, and perhaps in "Collaborators," it's never with malicious intent. Just bad circumstances.
