Perhaps you should rethink "Get bopped" because Bop House & Boppers is a thing on social media. Its very ick.

"Galifrey Gals Get Jammed!"? ("3, 2, 1, Let's Jam!") Bebop AND DS9 starting in the same week?! Feeling so blessed right now. This is one of the greats, with so much passion and care put into so many small things by a masterful team. Wonderful visuals, musically amazing, and written in such an interesting and subtle way. The way Kat said Cowboy Bebop in the intro reminded me of how a certain "radical" character says it. :) Was curious if either of you would mention the Desperado knockoff that this episode's antagonists clearly are. Love the completely goofy, unecessary freeze frame when it's obviously *gasp* Spike under the sombrero the whole time! Great choice by the writers/artists to make the drug red, so the audience panics for a split second thinking it's blood coming out when she get's grazed. ---------------- Watch order discussion! Minor, non-plot spoilers in the following paragraphs! I'd like to note, as Paula probably knows, there is movie, released after the end of the show. There is some debate in the Bebop community when this should be watched. Some will argue in release order, which means watching it after the show. I *strongly* disagree with this, as (chronology spoiler!) the movie is set before the end of the show, (mood spoiler!) the show ends on a much more conclusive and emotional note than the movie, and I also think some characters' discussions in the movie that make the show's ending more powerful. If you do watch it before the shows ending, I recommend watching it between episodes 23 and 24. Some will advocate an episode or 2 earlier, due the belief that some very (very) minor character appears in a certain way in episode 23, but I think this is unconfirmed fan canon, and doesn't really matter even if true. Also (themes spoiler!), I think episode 23's "reality" theme leads really well into the movie, and will be weakened by comparison by following the movie. I think [ ep1, ... , 23 (Brain Scratch), movie, 24 (Hard Luck Woman), 25, 26] is the best sequence and provides the strongest ending experience. ---------------- Btw, any chance y'all could have both earbuds in for this series? Cowboy Bebop is defined by it's music, between it's genre-themed episodes and Yoko Kanno basically assembling a supergroup to make brilliant music of every kind they can think of. We'd hate for you to miss out on the best experience.! :)
