Just coming here to echo the point that last season we found out that The Frontman has won these games before in 2015, so he likely just recycled his reasons for joining the game from then! Feel like it's not really clarified enough.

I was just coming here to comment that! I feel like the show this season didn't do enough to remind us that the frontman has won the games before, and unlike gi-hun's kind heart and luck carrying him through- it seems the frontman was more brutal and calculated.

If you're interested, the actor who plays him is the male lead in one of my favorite kdramas of all time "When the Camellia Blooms"! I'd highly recommend it. Very very cute show with a thriller/mystery subplot

Reminder from the last season as I’ve recently rewatched it! The front man, aka player 001, aka In-Ho, had played and won the games in the past. His brother found the record from 2015 in the first season, the year where he won the games. He later became the front man as we can see in the series, so most likely his story about his wife and child was true, and that’s maybe why he previously entered the games. Unfortunately, his wife died so we can only guess his child did as well as (Also loving your reaction to this season!!)

Not gonna lie, I didn't think I'd be attached to anyone this season purely because of how much more exaggerated they seemed and how memorable the last crew was. But I did find myself rooting for a few of them, guess it kind of creeped up on me haha
