Late on this, but Yamato isn’t EXACTLY trans. Yamato is full-on female, but she model herself after a legendary man, Kozuki Oden, and thus she wants to be just like Oden, even acknowledging herself as a man. Long story short, Yamato’s gender is ‘Kozuki Oden’, who is a man.

Huuuuuuuuuuh...so I never watched One Piece and I just looked this up, Yamato is a trans man this whole time? That's really cool because most media just has trans women, not men, so yeah. The only other example I can think of off the top of my head is possibly Baiken.
