The animation isnt techincally upgraded. It just depends on the fight. So regular episodes will get regular animation and the big fights will get crazy animation. Like the final fight vs naruto and sasuke. The animation gets buffed. And now this episode as well. You can always tell when the animation will be increased at the start of the episode. The lines are thinner, the coloring is lighter, and small movments are much smoother. And stuff like that
