I guess it all depends on just how complicated a computer you could make. Humans are basically a crazy complicated computer when you think about it. An individual could be defined as the sum of all the data ever put into it, along with built-in specs.

The question about computer suffering is an interesting one. The physical seems relatively (?) simple to address, so obviously we’re talking mentally here - anxiety, depression. I think existentially is a given.
