“Dogfight” 🐺🔥🦊
🕑 Added 2020-07-24 21:21:37 +0000 UTCTheir rivalry was well known among their teams. Wolf and Fox would often send signals to each other for rematches. To finally settle the score once and for all. Some days the winds were in Fox’s favor, some nights were won by Wolf. This went on for years.
Though their quarrels were heated and dangerous, there was a unspoken level of respect that lay beneath it all. Cuts, burns, and scrapes, sure. But they never wanted to spill each other’s blood. One night, however, that respect started to give warmth. Slowly, fight by fight, the heat had its own glow. The first time it let out a spark, things swung heavily in one direction. It all happened so fast.
Still, it would be some time before they thought it meant anything. Fox and Wolf kept at their dogfights in secret. Nobody grew suspicious. But every now and then, the warmth would glow and the glow would spark.

I might do some prequels for a bit. This was fun to think about. UwU
(EDIT: I didn’t want Wolf to look -too- much like he’s into Fox in this. Probably still a little resistant to his own feelings. But showing that he’s holding Fox close while also using part of his shirt to cover Fox’s burn shows the cracks in his resolve better.)
