Rachel sprite design change preview #1

>.< sorry lol! I do understand the concern about the changes to her, of course we're trying to consider things still as it's early right now. But without spoiling things for her, I'll just mention that there's some story elements for her that are brought up in her route coming soon to begin explaining some stuff about her past. One thing I'll say is to pay close attention to Rachel's sections regarding her cooking seen in the game so far. (either way there shall be more previews moving forward through this month, so hopefully things will be considered and for things that weren't. I'll go in depth with why things are changing and not changing through the design process. ^^ )

In a sense I can see that, although not very different. I'd put Erika and Rachel's new design in their own bracket for being similar, while Miki and Juliet are more on terms of really short and super petite. I do see that Heather and Bridget would fall into their own bracket in a sense, I'd event possibly toss Nova into that bracket as Nova is meant to be 5'7" a bit more fit and of the cast, she's up there in age with Heather and Bridget a bit. (something that outside of the game, we have character profiles that will be posted on both patreon and kickstarter soon enough that lists details for them ^^ ) I will be considering things as that is the main point of all of this, so needless to say there will be more previews to come over the month of May until we see a full collection of her for the final design. But the main idea is that we asked over a month or two back about these proposed design change ideas and the majority seemed in favor of seeing changes to Rachel with our proposed idea to have her go back to an early concept plan for her many month ago (one that of course didn't see the light of day). But even with that in mind, the point is to of course consider things and see what else can possibly be done that feels right from the game direction standpoint and also what fans are happy with too.

I do understand what you mean, there was some behind the scenes discussion regarding Rachel's looks since 1-2 months back in regards to her general feeling, how it's progressing and if the proposed design we had going for her was going to fit for her. Granted there is some aspects that do feel good for her character in terms of her current sprite, some of which will be subtle. But we're trying to not fully make the design change for her a massive shock (although I'm sure it can be), there's a lot to her character that should transfer over to the new design once it's further along. I know it might be a bit odd for changes currently, if tried to pair her new look up with sections that she's in currently. But it does feel like for her story and events coming very soon in June/July with the routes will be well fitted with the new design. Either way, this is just the first preview for her right now, of course making use of it to consider anything is what it's meant for. :P So I'll be looking it over and trying to figure some stuff out for her.

Gosh the new model looks like she is starving to death.(Maybe she gives all her food o Animals?) many Guys like skinny girls, but now every Girl in MA is very skinny. Her old model looked healthy at least^^ She likes to cook does she not? I think the old model suited her better.

Wouldn't this design change make her too similar to Erika, Miki and Juliet ? I mean we already have plenty of petite girls and only two "bigger", Heather and Bridgette (who isn't even a main character). Maybe we should keep her as she is, so that we could have a more physically diverse cast ?

I feel like you should at least keep her shoulders a bit bigger though, the whole animal lover asthetic she has going works well because of her big girl that's bubbly and shy. She can be big and short. Granted I can see why your changing her current model be6she doesn't look 5'5 at all😅
