Teanam

Hmm... Interesting. I'll try to look into it a little more and maybe do a few tests.

@teanam IIRC anyone you set as an editor or commenter can see the highlighted sections and click them to see the comments, but I don't remember whether normal "viewers" can or not. On Google docs at least.

Patreon really does suck for text posts. I recommend you get a custom CSS / style extension like Stylus or StyleBot and then add the CSS code at the below pastebin as a new custom style for patreon.com. It works nicely in conjunction with Dark Reader. Only covers desktop, not tested on mobile. https://pastebin.com/9n7sHzCR

@Black Unicorn Right? I love when I can correct as I go because normally I have to choose whether I keep reading and forget where the mistake was, or make the correction and interrupt the story.

Black Unicorn

I loved one group that did that it was so fun, and I even had an easy time pointing things out as I could do it on the fly as I read rather than try to find all the things, I need to point out again.

Teanam

That sounds great for me, but no idea how others would feel about them if they just want to read the chapter in peace. Or do only I see them? Also, feel free to go ham in the comments~

As someone who loves editing and making corrections: If it were a Google doc being shared, readers (like me) could be set as "commenters" and be able to highlight a word or section and "comment" at point while reading to say "this word should be this other word instead" and things like that. (It would only highlight the word in the document, without carrying over in a copy-paste, and you could remove comments as they are completed.) Then have Patreon for the usual "I love it! / Great work! / More Ellie when?! / Can't wait for the next chapter!" Comments. Because I know I always hate when I feel like I'm just using the comment section to bring up the mistakes. But I also hate when I see a mistake and let it slide knowing that it won't get caught before release so now the rest of the world is going to see it all because I would "feel bad for calling out such a small error"...

Teanam

I hate Patreon...

ImaginarySmasher

Ummmm.... Two of the same choices and and either option?
