My Hero Automata: Chapters 22-24
🕑 Added 2023-09-15 23:23:43 +0000 UTCAlright! Time for another release. Specifically, right around another 6,500 words of My Hero Automata! While I'm happy with the size, I will warn you that it might be slightly slowish, depending on your tolerance for action. Essentially, this gets us through the rest of the Heroics Tournament. I did my best to keep things going quick, not spending all that much time on each individual fight while still showing off at least a little bit more of what some characters can do. I also skipped where I could, to prevent things from really getting bogged down. But that doesn't change the fact that there's a lot of fights. Even if I only showed them in bits and pieces.
I did make sure there's more than just fighting shown. We get a first small glimpse of 2B's perspective of things, for example. Something which I hope to build on later, after Riley Thatcher was kind enough to point out that I'd let her slide into the background a bit too much (Thanks Riley! Constructive feedback like that is invaluable!). There's also a bit of afterparty content, where poor Jirou suffers an extremely confusing exchange, we get some more insight into Katsuki's state of mind and changes, and Asui makes a observation that might just be important later...

Canon Nier Automata 2B, I agree with that. This 2B is still MOSTLY like that, particularly when it regards Izumi. But she's at least had a bit of a hand learning how to proper take care of herself too...

How I look at 2B, is she doesn’t care about herself enough. She will go to the ends of the earth to help the people she cares for, but cares not for the detriment to herself. If we were to go Percy Jackson I would say it’s her fatal flaw

Yikes, sorry I missed this for a few days! I'm happy to know I hit the right mix with the Tournament. I was a little worried that, in an effort to keep from getting bogged down, I'd tipped the other way and rushed it too much. I'm even more glad 2B felt natural! I'm less familiar with her than I'd like, so her perspective is a bit harder to create. At least for now. The more of it I write, the more she'll solidify for me. At least, that's how it usually works ;-).

Got around to finishing it, and I like what you did, the tournament didn’t feel bloated and it feels like everything is moving along great, also 2Bs perspective felt natural and it helped us get to understand how she functions on the day to day. Not least to mention the ominous foreshadowing from tsu.

Constructive Criticism (specifically the Constructive part) is reallllly hard to come by. So I felt the shout out was deserved :-). Though I can remove it if you feel uncomfortable with it, of course.
