- Is ComeCloser available for Quest 1 & 2 in standalone?
Yes! The full content is available with the following differences: graphics adapted to Quest performances, static hairstyles instead of dynamic ones, no cloth.
- Is ComeCloser playable without VR?
No, ComeCloser is only VR for the moment, but we may work on a desktop version in the future.
- Will ComeCloser be available on Steam?
Yes! but only when we believe the game is mature enough, and it may not happen before mid 2022.
We can't tell more about the price, and we don't know yet if we will be able to distribute keys to our patrons (but we believe so!).
Troubleshooting
- The game works on the menu but crashes when I try to launch a scene.
This is usually due to the cloth simulation being too intensive for your graphic card. Try lowering the cloth quality or deactivate clothes completely.
- The game won't start in VR and I can see a white pillar
SteamVR doesn't seem to launch correctly along with the game. You can try the following:
- update SteamVR to the latest version,
- shutdown/kill SteamVR and let it restart with the game,
- shutdown any other VR application like Oculus, Viveport or Mixed Reality Portal.
- The controls are not working on Windows Mixed Reality, Vive Cosmos or other.
First, note that you need to run the game with SteamVR and not with Mixed Reality Portal. Then, you can go in SteamVR settings -> Controller manager and create a custom binding that suits you. By default, ComeCloser's actions are bound this way:
- "interact bool" and "continue narration" are bound to the trigger button,
- "grab" is bound to the grip,
- "recall holo" is bound to any thumb button,
- "interact" is not used.

Hello there, so im having some trouble with the recall holo button. To bring up the holo is to hold the thumb button which for me in the quest is a, but when i try to close the holo by holding a its not recalling
Hey there, I'm having some trouble figuring out how to use the "walk" locomotion mode. When I switch to it, the trackpads (I'm on Vive, by the way) simply do nothing. I'm only able to get around through teleporting. Is smooth locomotion just not functional yet, or can I change the control bindings in SteamVR to make it work? I played around there a bit but didn't see any control option related to it. Thanks!
