Now that you've seen the Nellie episode I wanted to comment "nooo" when you said "that's not a husband" about Nell's husband because he's so great for her and it's such a tragedy, but I didn't want to give anything away about any characters, haha. it's crazy how a first impression of a character can be the opposite of what you feel at the end of "meeting them". it just goes to show the writing in this show and it's the same for basically every Mike Flanagan project. he's a true horror director, but so deeply in the Stephen King-ish way of the horror of humanity and human connections, but also the beauty that comes from it all. can't wait to see you explore this show and the rest of the mike flanagan universe over time!

Girl…. i remember watching that episode when it came out… just to set the scene, I was still in school, it was Halloween night, and it was storming outside. And I thought it would be fun and cute to get in the spirit and light my little pumpkin scented bath and body works candle and watch the said episode… I turned off all the lights and had my headphones on hunched in front of my I Pad… and when I tell you, when that infamous jump scare came… I quite literally fell back out of my chair on the ground. I WISH i was joking. The show is so much fun, but that to this day is one of the only scares that has gagged me to my core 😭😭
