I was never a fan of Nicole Kidman smh. I love Sandra Bullock and Charmed is my FAVORITE TV show of all time so witches are are deep love (plus willow) but this movie was so good yet Nicole kinda dampered it 😭IMO

My parents also met and got together on the island the town is set in! It always makes me feel so nostalgic, I’m so glad I got to watch it again with you, one of my fav creators :,) 💖

This was my first time watching this film...I was SO confused at the beginning when Sally just RAN to Michael out of nowhere. I'm like...did I miss half the movie?? I love that the cat was just lounging in the background this entire film. Actually, you know what? That's my one complaint. We didn't get enough of the gorgeous black cat. This movie made me cry multiple times. The house, the outfits, the sisterhood, THE WITCHES!!!! There was even a random person Gary interviewed who's played by the actress who played Older Piper in Charmed.....I'm OBSESSED. Thanks, Alanda!! Never would have seen it without you 💜

They’re movies that have been highly requested and were in demand from polls 😭 we’ll still do movies that are new too! The next watch will be a new one as are all the tv shows. I think people like to have cozy familiarity every now and then, and I’m a huge fan of a rewatch so I don’t mind at all. If it turns out people are preferring new releases then we’ll do fewer rewatches. But as of now only 4 of the 13 movies we’ve watched here have been rewatches (and I remembered nothing of Scooby Doo so it was basically new to me lol)

I always thought it was wild that the aunts were (rightfully) upset at Sally and Gilly for being messy about their magic when they themselves were messy with their own? They did an attraction spell that ultimately got Sally's husband killed. I love them but that's messy too lol

I only just watched practical magic this year and i agree it hits different..i miss the whimsy! I know this is considered a Halloween movie but i think it's a good movie for Thanksgiving cause of the fall vibes and importance of sisterhood and family and love.. can't wait for the next upload!

You fangirl over their hair the way I fangirl over your hair. Amazing. I have several notes...set design and clothing were so great. The hair...phenomenal. The soundtrack, perfect. You are soo right about the vibe shifts. This very whimsical romantic film, gets scary and legitimately emotional because the leads are so good. I almost cry when he reveals he "wished for" her too. And I fully tear up when Gillian is in the circle saying, "let me go..." and Sally is begging her to stay. With lesser actors this would have been a fun romcom. With this cast (including the aunts)...its magic. Thank you for watching with us, Alanda. What a great time!

the fact that I only watched this movie for the first time back in August 2021 but I'm a huge Sandra and Nicole stan...I should be in jail! BIRD BOX was/is amazing, my mom and me re-watched so many of her rom-coms this summer ("Two Weeks Notice", "While You Were Sleeping", "The Lake House", "The Proposal", both of the "Miss Congeniality" movies...) hope you're enjoying Thanksgiving with your family and re-charge your batteries❤️ it's not celebrated in my country so my casual Thursday just got better with your uploads!

I think this was a movie night with Mom when I was younger. And holy shit, if the dynamic between the sisters isn’t very close, behavior-wise, to my sister and me. We just were never as close as these two, but I was the shut down and practical one while she was way more out there and dated a lot of abusive assholes.
