yeah it's a tough situation. if I had seen her abuse miri in any way ofc I would feel different. but some parents really try their hardest to pull things together around their kids, and you can't always control your thoughts (she said she hated how miri would laugh "at her"). a child that small would have learned to act differently if her mother had lashed out at her saying "(e.g.) stop laughing! what do you have to be happy about! I hate you!" but miri only spoke about her mom making her food and singing so in my mind, her memories of her mom are good because probably she kept it together just long enough to raise miri as best she could. When she couldn't take it anymore, she sent miri off to her rich dad. Ofc that is not ideal, but she tried to give miri a better life in her own way and in the end (this is the most important part for me) miri IS better off now. So I just couldn't find it in myself to be mad under these circumstances.

glad you're enjoying the show, i especially loved your reaction to the mother, most people just started hating on her blindly, but i really liked how you tried to see the big picture since miri didn't seem to hate her mother and her attitude was that of a normal kid rather than an abused one, can't wait for your next reaction!
