To me personally, in this show there's B.T (Before Toph) and A.T (After Toph). The show got instantly better for me after she's introduced :)

Zuko is 16, Sokka is 15, Katara is 14-15, Azula is 14-15. Toph and Aang is 12

Toph is my favorite <3 The fight against the earthbenders in the arena made a huge impression on me at the time and it was the best fight for me so far. I love how she's blind but still so strong. She really inspired me when I was young since I felt I could relate with my bad eyesight XD I'm happy you instantly said she was your favorite lol

Zuko character and his story is my personal favourite thing in this show. He have the best character arcs.
