OP Manga, do I dare? (VOTE)
🕑 Added 2023-10-22 00:37:17 +0000 UTCI've done this poll once before and way too many people said I shouldn't read the manga (past the anime), so I doubt this will go any different.
BUT quite a few people told me back then "just wait until Wano is finished, then read the manga". So now that Wano is almost over, I'll do the poll one more time (since some people have been asking about that).
Yes, I am very excited to theorize with everyone one day, but it doesn't have to be now either. So vote what you think is best <3
PS. I will repeat what I said last time: Please vote below (the majority won't win just because they're the majority, I want to see the difference and most importantly, hear your thoughts in the comments!).
Even if there is 10% of people that want me to remain anime only, it will make my decision very hard, as I don't want to make anyone unhappy :((

oh no I'd never do scans. I have the shonen jump app available so it's not like I'm forced to read somewhere else because I don't have access - the only time I watch or read anywhere that's not official is just if I have no other choice.

I voted staying with the anime, but I’ll still stay for your manga reactions because I like you, your discussions, and have been following you for years :) ! I personally don’t watch up to date manga reactors because I don’t find their discussions fun to watch. I’m also not a scan reader, so I’m sure people will tell you to jump to the scans once you’re caught up. Probably won’t stay tune as often once you’re caught up but will still be around! Curious to see what you do!

The only reason would be losing more patrons. I already lost many when I caught up and post only 1 reaction per week. 😮💨 if I lost another 30% it would make things kind of difficult but let’s see 😄😄

I understand how you feel but have you ever seen me rewatching some one piece scenes? Recently I played the pirate warriors game in Arabasta and when I saw Vivi say goodbye I nearly cried. Knowing the story in advance doesn’t make my reactions worse, I get closer to the characters and more excited/emotional for certain scenes. I could go on about this but I’ve already talked about it a lot in the part. I won’t read the manga ahead if people don’t want me to, but for now I’ll just say again I think you’re mistaken if you believe it will ruin my reactions

I’ve talked about this multiple times in videos and have always said I think reading the manga would enhance my anime watching experience.

You're an excellent theory crafter. I'd consider it a waste if you couldn't fully engage with the rest of us. You've been reading the manga so you would already be used to it and since the animation and filler is better in the anime, you will still enjoy that too.

I'd say get to reading the manga as well, I see no reason to not enjoy both; you can theorise, worry less about spoilers and it will likely enhance your enjoyment of the anime.

I think you should read the manga because now is the only time before the series ends to experience it weekly. You still can react to the anime and enjoy it.

Theorizing with other people is the best thing about One Piece. Every new chapter of One Piece is always exciting. Especially the following new Arc.

I picked "read the manga" because having a big chunk of chapters that are what I and many others consider the best stretch of One Piece we've ever had to read all at once sounds amazing to me. The current arc is sooooooo good.

What you always fail to explain is: Would you continue watching the anime once you start reading ahead in the manga? If you keep reacting to the anime I don't see a problem why you shouldn't read the manga, past the current anime episodes. If you would drop the anime because you already know what happens, due to reading the manga, then I would vote for stay anime only. But I would really like to see your manga reactions for the next arc after Wano.

Reading the manga and watching the anime are two completely different experiences, and it’s like enjoying the story twice. I personally see no downside in reading the manga.
