It is a bit confusing at times understanding how the androids work especially with Cell since it’s never fully explained. 17 and 18 have ki but it’s just “normal earthling level ki” they just have a core that generates artificial infinite energy. Cell is refer to as a “Bio-Android” in the series since he’s completely organic so he can actively suppress it. Hope that helps

the little delayed reaction to cell opening his tail to absorbe 17 was so funny lol these episodes were traumatic for me as a child, I was so mad there were so many chances for 17 and 18 to run and they didn't 😂 but fun episodes and fun reaction as always

Yeah, initially he was there when the androids pulled up, then when everyone got busy Toriyama wrote him out. The scene where Chiaotzu appeared outta nowhere and Yamcha wanting to go was anime only. Btw, very cool that you're like the only reactor I know who's reacting to the original Japanese version.

I (think I remember) reading last week in the trivia that even during those episodes Yamcha wasn't around, but they did put him around in some of the anime episodes. But yeah, only since you mentioned it, he suddenly disappeared after Tien went to help Piccolo and Kuririn went to get the remote... hmmmm my favorite scenes from 17 VS Kamicolo (hehe) was when they were underwater, which looked so interesting and unique + when they shot off to another island and the water kind of "rained" on 16 + 18.

Piccolo vs 17 was my favorite "minor" fight. Especially their last fast paced exchange right before Cell appeared was raw af. Tien stood on business. Where did Yamcha go, tho? He was with everyone at Kame House and once things got serious bro made a run for it just to suddenly reappear 😂 But I guess it's smarter than taking another L for nothing.
