We were a little busy blowing the followers of Mohammad (peace be upon him) to smithereens to ask some of the most obvious questions. Things like, "how did 2 aluminum airplanes cause 3 steel-reinforced buildings to fall down?" Like I said, we were busy and weren't asking questions. Now we've got time to wonder, and wonder we do haha.

Yeah I think there is a lot of organic, honest commemorating of the event going on. I don't think every fire station that does a fundraising thing for the 1st responders of 9-11 every year are doing it to re-traumatize people, but the trauma is just a lingering effect of the event and it will be a full generation before it loses its power. Like Pearl Harbor. We kind of mark the date every year when it comes around but we don't really feel any way about it.
Also after being to the Pentagon in the Memorial garden where it was struck. The building is not that tall a 737 to strike straight through the building. And NOTHING was captured or maybe shot from Arlington the literal grassy knoll of the area? Or maybe terrorists where jumping off from Iraq and they just got us perfect. I don't stay up about it just vigilant.
I really believe what you said about us all being tired, Being past 9/11 and the Patriot Act and what that bureaucracy has indebted us. But I did see one last big push to commemorate 9/11 in my own town/neighborhood on the big 21. but it just feels palpable the American people are now more focused on trance driving by the elites from now on.
