Book 5 Early Access Is Over!
🕑 Added 2022-05-15 17:44:18 +0000 UTCCall me naive, but when I started posting early access chapters for Book 5 here on Patreon, I never thought I'd have to make this announcement. I assumed Book 5 would be out by now! Sadly, as many of you choicegame fans already know, the publishing queue and wait times for releases has been getting longer and longer.
To the point where it's actually kind of scary for me when I consider my future as a choicegame author. But lets put those fears aside for now, shall we?
Book 5 has 24 chapters in total. Early Access finishes this month at 23 chapters. I'll continue to keep the tier around with all the EA chapters up until the book is released. As for why chapter 24 isn't going to be posted, I really want readers to experience the ending in the way its intended to be played. That and I don't want anybody getting spoiled for what comes next!
Between a crazy presidential election, a global pandemic, and a war in Eastern Europe, a hell of a lot has happened during the time period between Books 4 & 5. While not quite as consequential as those, I got a cease and desist request from CoG to remove all use of choicescript from my Patreon account.
Thankfully, I'm enough of a programmer to come up with a semi-decent solution courtesy of "MCscript". I know it's not quite the same as a choicegame, but early access folks seem to like it well enough. While it's more confusing to navigate through, I find a lot of people enjoy reading the "under the hood" branches they typically wouldn't see in a playthrough.
For the credits in Book 5, I'd like to include the names of my patrons just like I did in Book 4. I'm gracious to everybody who's reading this, but to keep the list from getting crazy, I'm going to limit it to the Advanced & Intermediate tier patrons for the month of May (this month). If you don't want to be listed in the credits or if you'd prefer to be listed under a different name other than your Patreon one, please send me a message and I'll make sure it happens!
And what would an announcement be without me shilling for Cops & Catgirls? Starting in June, access to the two monthly broadcasts + polls will be limited to the Intermediate tier and above. The entirety of its first episode (including the upcoming finale on the 21st) will be available for everyone, though.

Does anyone know how much time has passed since MCβs trip to hell by the end of Book 5? The pregnancy aspect is driving me insane lol, although I guess it would make sense for us to not find out until we get Jun out of hell (assuming we do π) since for some people, the pregnant character is Junko π₯²

Goodness, I hope it will be released some time soon and they will even let you finish this series (without letting you wait decades for anything).
