Change of pledges

Leaks are inevitable if people like you leak them. . If people were so against paywalls, other artists here on Patreon wouldn't be making 10000 or 20000 a month. I don't know where did you read I'm acknowledging that, I don't want heavy exposure of my work. It's not 2400 a month, the pledges are changing to the 2 weeks option, so it's half of that. Andrewmyles I can ban you from here, but I know you could just make another account and do what you're doing, so I will ask you nicely to stop posting the pics on Gelbooru site. A month is not an eternity and is a reasonable time before the pics go free. I will try to contact the Gelbooru staff too. Thanks.

I was wondering about that, Patreon doesn't give too much details about how the pledges are processed when it's a 2 weeks option. So practically there's no change about the time people are charged? That'd make the changes pointless.

Just want to let you know Terufuu, Patreon will always start charging around the beginning of the month, even with a 2 week option. For example, Patreon won't charge $5 at 15.09.2015 and then again $5 at 01.10.2015. Both $5 will be charged at 01.10.2015. So its still $10 at the beginning of the month.

If incentive's the issue why not add something special for all your patreons? I know giving everyone a free request would be retarded, so why not having a lottery for everyone at the end of every month, and the winner gets to request something from you? If you make that exclusive to your patreons i'm sure it'll be a decent incentive, but if you do this i'd recommend posting what you won't do in requests first!

Too bad about the leaks, but again; we're not paying to get the picture itself. We're pledging to support your work so you can make more pictures and that is enough incentive for most of us. Heck, my own amateur-ish art's quality has increased exponentially since I started supporting you and learning from your sketches (I can't wait for the PSDfiles), so DON'T BE DISCOURAGED :D!! P.S. if your cutting the pledges in half, then you should maybe also cut your milestone goals in half as well? I'm still an n00b in this site, but also I pledge to another artist for $10 every 2 weeks and was still charged at the end of the month for both pledges.

Leaks are inevitable, but on the other hand, you have to remember that a MONTH is an eternity by the Internet standards. And really, any interval of time will not be short enough. And the sad truth is, people do not like paywalls, and the more artists try to hide their works, the more people will try to retrieve them. However, it's great that you acknowledge that they don't do that because they want to rob you. They do it because of passion to share. And it works! I mean, by gods, 2400 bucks a month?! That's.... insane amount of cash.

Man, these leaks are bullshit but it's as you said it yourself, it only takes one person to ruin everything. Also, the copyright stuff you said, I'm with you on this one. It's better to keep a low profile right now, and in the future, when you get the 3rd milestone and start making the doujins, then you should watermark and stuff like that.

Even if others can have your work i think that we can have the WIP's, psd files and the voting system which is a plus over those who aren't supporting, don't be discouraged because, as you have already seen, there will still be people supporting you just because we love your work.
