maybe he remembers some details about Megan a scene where she is flirting with him and he is (and still is now) oblivious and Little rose is in the back ground and megan is oblivious to rose's jealousy of megan

Well, the story seems to mostly follow Jack so far, and I approve of continuing that trend. It leaves you open for a fun little gag where Rose and Megan are in a rather compromising situation by the time he returns, "Wait! This isn't what it looks like!" "I can explain!"

How about flashback or memory bubbles/balloons where the two girls recall their relative sizes at their last interaction.
