I love that the irazusando training involves the sword getting heavier because we get to see ichigo visibly pass the test by raising the sword aloft. Not sure if he does that on his own or with some of the soul king’s power but it’s cool none the less.

So rich for potential backstory. Hope we get a bit more in the anime. So far they've done a decent job on that audience desire.
