Tbh Ive grown to like them, the pic's silly and lively and the colours kinda fit. But a part of me likes the muted scene aswell. And as for removing colour, I always find it more difficult to remove than add, unless you're literally using a saturation layer or whatnot, things like overlay often just end up adding even more sat, even if using an opposite colour

You mentioned that you don't like the colors as much towards the tail end. Is there a reason that you don't use an overlay layer (or something) to harmonize them back towards your initial preferences?
